Welcome to Our Everyday Oasis

 We’re Tom and Melody (Mel). After 48 years of marriage, we’ve learned that some of life’s greatest adventures begin when you least expect them. After raising a family, serving overseas, and working hard, we expected retirement to be a time to slow down.

 Instead, we discovered that every new season is an invitation to build something beautiful.

 Today we’re transforming our little piece of Florida into an everyday oasis — a place of peace, creativity, learning, hospitality and purpose.  Along the way, we’ll share what we’re learning -the successes and setbacks, the projects that worked (and the ones that didn’t), the tools we love, the books that inspire us, and the everyday moments that remind us there’s still adventure ahead. We’ll also include laughs with our little Chihuahua, Nacho — the Oasis Supervisor. 

 We don’t pretend to have all the answers. We’re simply sharing what we’re learning as we continue building a life we love.

 Our hope is that you’ll find ideas, encouragement, and practical inspiration to create an oasis of your own, wherever you call home.
